|
|
I have a Logitech Optical mouse with the scroll wheel.
Up and down scroll work fine, but this mouse also supports pressing the button straight down for a 3rd function. In windows while running MouseWare (Logitech's software) pressing the middle button brings up an icon with an up and down arrow. With the button held down, moving the mouse up and down scrolls the page.
Is there any software to allow me to do this under X/Gnome?
PS - 99% switched (I still use XP for Quicken =) |

you mean for a web browser? mozilla, MozillaFirebird, Galeon and others all support this.
take a look at the "options" or "prefrences" section of the browser's toolbar. |

They have an option for scrolling, which I have enabled and working, but not the type of scrolling I mentioned. None that I can see anyway. |

DayLung: mouse gestures are the best thing ever...
if you're running firebird, you might also want to grab the assorted tab plugins
tools->options->extensions->get new extensions |
