Hi,

My KDE Plasma panel has disappeared upon a reboot. This is the second time this happens. Previous time was last week and it ‘fixed’ itself a day later due to unknown causes.

Even when I try to add a (new) panel, nothing happens. Previously, when my panel appeared again, the new panels I had tried adding also appeared. I looked at my logs (systemd journal) and nothing appears when I try to add a panel.

In case anyone has experience with this kind of thing or can help diagnose the cause, I would really appreciate your help.

Best,

Erik

Thanks for the info, I was wondering if they fixed it or not, apparently not, this is as old as plasma5 itself. And also baloo indexer. The two infamous of the KDE.

Never happens to me. Maybe you have some cruft in your .config/plasma-org.kde.plasma.desktop-appletsrc and should clean that up for once.

It never happened to me before last week either… In any case, how do identify ‘cruft’ in that file?
