is there an easier installation guide to install gentoo, i am a newbie to this kind of linux, typing in all these commands is too hard, the installation guide is also confusing, ii mixes up gpr installation with stage 3. Any help is appreciated. _________________ Can we all just get along? |

First, there are the now called "old" install docs
Second, there is the Install Handbook which should be more detailed and less confusing than the first one.
Last not least you could try GLIS, the Gentoo Linux Install Script. Here is a huge thread about it. |

hard or not you should stick with it, even if you don't know what it all means now the install doc will become an incredible tool in learning linux, I've re-installed gentoo on many machines and multiple time on the same machines every time you do it you learn something else. I'm at the point where I can pretty much do an install without refering to the docs at all.... Stick with it, you'll thank yourself later _________________ "I am the reaper among sheep....
