I have yaboot-static 1.3.17 installed on my eMac (i couldn't get normal yaboot to compile) and I have the kernel on an ext4 partition. However, when I try to boot it up, it can't seem to find the kernel when it's literally in the /boot folder on the hard drive. Is there a way to fix this issue? |

I just ended up using GRUB. It's actually maintained compared to yaboot and it's easier to set up. I'd personally recommend to all people who install PPC Gentoo to use GRUB rather than yaboot. |
