Hello,
I´ve got a strange problem with dolphin. "del" should move a file to the trash, "shift + del" should delete a file immediately. The latter one works fine, but moving a file to the trash is not possible. Even changing the shortcuts has no effect. The only way to move a file to the trash is via the right mouse click. _________________ DELL Latitude 5550 intel Core i5-5300 CPU @ 2.30GHz

Is the "Del" shortcut configured?
Check this at system-settings -> shortcuts -> standard shortcuts -> move to trash |

Yes, it is. As you see I'm very confused about the fact that even changing the shortcuts has no effect. _________________ DELL Latitude 5550 intel Core i5-5300 CPU @ 2.30GHz

In Dolphin there is a separate menu "configure keyboard shortcuts". In this menu there are different options for trash (search for "trash"):
"Delete (using shortcut for Trash)" has the default "Del" but is not configured in my case (not really sure what this option is for)
"Move to Trash" has also the default "Del". This is configured and works in my case.
If I change the "Delete (using ...)" shortcut to "Del", I loose the ability to move files to the trash by shortcut. |

Thank you muddle for your help. I´ve made all the changes exactly where you told me and that´s where this strange problem occurs. It doesn´t matter what shortcut defines the action "moving to trash" - it simply doesn´t work. _________________ DELL Latitude 5550 intel Core i5-5300 CPU @ 2.30GHz
