|
|
Hi,
my new gentoo box (still inside a chroot) is always complaining after it finished emerging sth.
Code: |
* Updating documentation tags in /usr/share/vim/vim62
*
* gvim has now a seperate ebuild, 'emerge gvim' will install gvim
*
>>> Regenerating /etc/ld.so.cache...
* Caching service dependencies... [ ok ]
>>> app-editors/vim-6.2-r3 merged.
>>> Recording app-editors/vim in "world" favorites file...
>>> clean: No packages selected for removal.
>>> Regenerating /etc/ld.so.cache...
* Caching service dependencies... [ ok ]
>>> Auto-cleaning packages ...
!!! Invalid db entry: /var/db/pkg/*sys-fs/devfsd!!! Invalid db entry: /var/db/pkg/*sys-fs/devfsd
>>> No outdated packages were found on your system.
* Regenerating GNU info directory index...
* Processed 58 info files: 1 errors; run with emerge --verbose to view errors.
eh-web1 root # depscan.sh

Oh, and BTW: What's up with the "1 errors" during the processing the info files? That has nothing to do with the other error since I got this (the info-error) already on other boxes.
thanks,

Do a quick browse around the forum, you'll find the answer. Since several people got this same error at the same time. _________________ Inspiron 4100 & Sun UltraAXe

Hi,
thanks. I'm sorry, I searched for "Invalid db entry" but the forum didn't return any hits even though there are threads with this in the title. I just relied on the search function... :-/
But thank you nonetheless. Because of your answer I kept on searching manually further *g*

Yeah the search doesn't always work as well as one would like. But I had the same issue and found it eventually. _________________ Inspiron 4100 & Sun UltraAXe

The problem with the search is that all words must be at least 3 characters. |
