Does anyone know if there are any USB Ethernet cards supported by linux? I don't mean WLAN-card but a regular 10/100 card.
Any suggestions appriciated since my on-board card broke a few days ago.

Yes. cd to /usr/src/linux and run make xconfig
Poking about in USB will show you what your current kernel supports.
Click the help buttons for details.
You will need to rebuild your kernel or at least, ass the module you require.
