| Can anyone list the major differences between the vanilla 2.6 kernel and what's in the Gentoo kernel besides the superficial things like bootsplash and supermount? Any performance-enhancers? I know that the 2.4 kernel had 100+ patches applied in gentoo-sources so I was wondering what's being put into the 2.6 kernel with gentoo-dev-sources that's not already there already. Can't seem to find anything on the site. |

mainly driver updates - it's hard to add performance to 2.6 without ripping out major parts of the kernel and rewritting them.
The highest scoring kernel in my benchmarks are the love-sources kernels, they feel faster largely thanks to the new scheduler policy. |

where can i see exactly which patches are in gentoo-dev-sources? i want to compare them to love-sources, development-sources, and mm-sources
