i have a 410e clevo notebook and can´t CAN´T get any linux working on it. The only dist. that worked a little was debian 3.0. Gentoo installed as Suse but once installed it seems impossible to boot.
The error is always de same. When u insert any distribution disk 1 or installer cd-rom it hangs the nootebook in the same step, just in the line:
Uncompresin linux kernel ................ -> the next line aint appear and it hangs.
So, i wonder: if the gentoo installer worked, and suse too, then there is a kernel ( with maybe some features on/off ) that work. I´ve tried to parse options at boot time but nothing worked. ( acpi , apm, vga, .... )
The notebook aint got any option in bios to turn acpi on/off or something similar.
What can i do? Technical service aint respond |
