|
|
I have set up my computer to run windows 10 as a guest with libvirt and virtmanager following these two guides:
https://wiki.gentoo.org/wiki/GPU_passthrough_with_libvirt_qemu_kvm
https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/PCI_passthrough_via_OVMF
The resolution is locked under 800x600 on the guest, and it recognizes my Geforce 1060 card, however under device manager it shows "Windows has stopped this device because it has reported problems. (code 43).
I have tried the fix at:
https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/PCI_passthrough_via_OVMF#%22Error_43:_Driver_failed_to_load%22_on_Nvidia_GPUs_passed_to_Windows_VMs
which did not work.

I also receive the error:
Code: |

[50670.417544] vfio-pci 0000:08:00.0: No more image in the PCI ROM
|
and have tried the fix it says on
https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/PCI_passthrough_via_OVMF#%22BAR_3:_cannot_reserve_[mem]%22_error_in_dmesg_after_starting_VM
also with no luck. |

Last i tried to set this up i landed at the same issue.
Seemed the issue was caused by the nvidia drivers where nvidia has blocked this use case.
Solution for me was to replace the nvidia card with an amd card. _________________
