vitaly-zdanevich,

Its still missing the firmware in the kernel.

CONFIG_DRM_AMDGPU=y requires the firmware to be included in the kernel too.

Looks like I forgot make modules_install, now fatal is gone.

Now on startx I receive error "Bad display name in list command"

Big thanks for help, and looks like this is already another topic, but this is my current dmesg.

vitaly-zdanevich,

Code:
[    5.861371] Loading firmware: amdgpu/psp_13_0_5_toc.bin
[    5.861441] amdgpu 0000:0b:00.0: Direct firmware load for amdgpu/psp_13_0_5_toc.bin failed with error -2
[    5.861441] amdgpu 0000:0b:00.0: amdgpu: fail to request/validate toc microcode

Its going to load ...
Code:
$ ls /lib/firmware/amdgpu/psp*
/lib/firmware/amdgpu/psp_13_0_0_sos.bin
/lib/firmware/amdgpu/psp_13_0_0_ta.bin
/lib/firmware/amdgpu/psp_13_0_11_ta.bin
/lib/firmware/amdgpu/psp_13_0_11_toc.bin
/lib/firmware/amdgpu/psp_13_0_4_ta.bin
/lib/firmware/amdgpu/psp_13_0_4_toc.bin
/lib/firmware/amdgpu/psp_13_0_5_asd.bin
/lib/firmware/amdgpu/psp_13_0_5_ta.bin

/lib/firmware/amdgpu/psp_13_0_7_ta.bin
/lib/firmware/amdgpu/psp_13_0_8_asd.bin
/lib/firmware/amdgpu/psp_13_0_8_ta.bin
/lib/firmware/amdgpu/psp_13_0_8_toc.bin
Those files are provided by linux-firmware.

For your wifi ...
Code:
[    5.948135] Loading firmware: mediatek/WIFI_MT7961_patch_mcu_1_2_hdr.bin
[    5.948142] mt7921e 0000:08:00.0: Direct firmware load for mediatek/WIFI_MT7961_patch_mcu_1_2_hdr.bin failed with error -2

Do you have linux-firmware
Code:
$ ls /lib/firmware/mediatek/WIFI_MT7961*
/lib/firmware/mediatek/WIFI_MT7961_patch_mcu_1_2_hdr.bin

Hmmm.... linux-firmware is emerged:

Code:
*  sys-kernel/linux-firmware
      Latest version available: 99999999
      Latest version installed: 99999999
      Size of files: 0 KiB
      Homepage:      https://git.kernel.org/?p=linux/kernel/git/firmware/linux-firmware.git
      Description:   Linux firmware files
      License:       GPL-2 GPL-2+ GPL-3 BSD MIT || ( MPL-1.1 GPL-2 ) redistributable? ( linux-fw-redistributable BSD-2 BSD BSD-4 ISC MIT ) unknown-license? ( all-rights-reserved )

BUT files are not available:

Code:
ls /lib/firmware/amdgpu/psp*
ls: cannot access '/lib/firmware/amdgpu/psp*': No such file or directory
ubuntu-ssd / # ls /lib/firmware/
ath9k_htc/                av7110/                   carl9170-1.fw             dsp56k/                   keyspan_pda/              regulatory.db             usbdux_firmware.bin       usbduxsigma_firmware.bin
atusb/                    brcm/

The same for Wi-Fi:

Code:
# ls /lib/firmware/mediatek/WIFI_MT7961*
ls: cannot access '/lib/firmware/mediatek/WIFI_MT7961*': No such file or directory

Emerged again - still no files :(
