Please have a look at this:
https://www.techrepublic.com/article/linux-home-directory-management-is-about-to-undergo-major-change/?fbclid=IwAR29vHaR0t5Boe3RHUwoxA24xrESrguN1tlb9UW7MOSE3OMrDDsR8UENEr4
Now I get the absolute hatred that systemd invokes in Linux users' psyche.
It has become like a second kernel, like a fire that is fast destroying everything that we like about Linux.
In the beginning I used to like systemd, notably its service management features and the log info that dumps with "status" commands.
But now it seems like a bad dream...Like the corona pandemic. It is everywhere, spreading like crazy and causing malaise in all things Linux.
Like a multinational corporation or a wildfire or something destructive and malevolent.
I am an inch away of deleting my systemd Gentoo installs(if I only hadnt spent hours, days and months nurturing and growing them)..
But really these @#$%^^ systemd people really deserve the total rejection and scorn from all the community...
Horrible cheerleaders cheering a horrible software...

Moved from Gentoo Chat to Duplicate Threads.

There is an existing thread which would have been easily found with even the slightest amount of effort.
