I've got Gentoo installed on a compaq EN series SFF P600, kernel 2.4.20. The problem is it hangs. It happens after the machine has been idle for a while. You can hear the hard disk start up, then the gui (KDE 3.1.4) freezes. ctrl+alt+backspace attempts to kill X, but it just scrambles the screen then hangs. From that point on it won't do anything and I have to use the power button. Any ideas?
Edit - Its got the latest BIOS update. |

| just for info, put 2.6 kernel on it and its alright now. |
