Opera 7.54 input charset problem

I've been introduced to opera by a friend and i liked it quite a bit, so i decided to install it. It works great as i expected it, however i have a problem. I can't use iso8859-15 chars on any text input in opera (address bar, options, text boxes like this one, etc, etc), however the rendering of pages containing those special chars works fine and they're correctly displayed. How can i change the input charset in opera is my question? I believe the default is utf-8 and i would really like to change it to iso8859-15 so i can use my special chars
