Hello,
I was wondering if someone was able to get the shadow client working with Gentoo?
For me, the client is starting, but as soon as I try to start the stream, I get the error R-0x7F.
For other distributions with the same error (archlinux):
https://www.reddit.com/r/ShadowPC/comments/f9x64r/archlinux_error_code_r0x7f/
and (Fedora):
https://github.com/NicolasGuilloux/blade-shadow-beta/issues/35
My configuration:
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
System
OS: Gentoo Linux
OS Version: 5.4.38-gentoo GNU/Linux
Environment: KDE Plasma Version 5.18.5
Application: Launcher v4.14.19 / Client v3.2.17
Configuration
The user is in input group: Yes
The environment uses Xorg : Yes
VA API detects H264 ? And H265: H264 - yes, H265: No
To Reproduce
Steps to reproduce the behavior:
Start Stream
Output of vainfo:
libva info: VA-API version 1.7.0
libva info: Trying to open /usr/lib64/va/drivers/radeonsi_drv_video.so
libva info: Found init function __vaDriverInit_1_7

vainfo: Driver version: Mesa Gallium driver 20.1.1 for Radeon RX 580 Series (POLARIS10, DRM 3.35.0, 5.4.38-gentoo, LLVM 9.0.1)

So far I was not able to solve this problem in Gentoo.
Any ideas are appreciated, thank you! |

Did you fix this problem? Have the same on KDE. Not on Gnome |

No, sadly I still have the same problem...
By the way: In the meantime I've installed an ubuntu-test-system (running gnome on the same machine/different partition as gentoo), and there shadow works without a problem.
So maybe this is also KDE/KWin related? |
