Of course they would claim that. But talk is cheap.

As I wrote above almost four years ago, "and have not had stunning results." But, your mileage may vary. For some particular use cases, there may be a happy outcome.

I use LibreOffice for lists and simple tasks like sums.
At work I had the pleasure to work with Excel, and it is so lovely when (depending on system language) it opens CSV files with divider = semicolon instead of comma...
Also , being used as decimal marker instead of . is an interesting choice.
Jeez. People are so used to broken stuff they just deal with them.

For most complicated calculations I use awk.

Doesn't this bit depend on locale?

Yes. I myself live in Italy.
The problem is CSV outputs don't store informations about locale, and people complains my files are broken.
