|
|
Hi all,
I'm hoping someone can help me with emerge and distcc.
Currently, emerge will fail to make the following packages, when using distcc:
media-libs/libpng-1.6.37
dev-libs/libevent-2.1.11
dev-db/sqlite-3.31.1
This machine is an Intel Atom N450 with 1 GB DDR2, successfully passes memtest86+.
Code: | AcerAspire /home/svmlegacy # emerge --info '=media-libs/libpng-1.6.37::gentoo'
Portage 2.3.99 (python 3.7.8-final-0, default/linux/amd64/17.1/no-multilib, gcc-9.3.0, glibc-2.30-r8, 5.4.48-gentoo x86_64)

This package was previously built successfully on the local machine, but is slated for rebuild.

What can I do to debug this condition, and hopefully rectify it? Changing the make.conf file for the individual packages which fail is getting to be a pain. |

Seems a helper distccd is building non PIC object files default and causing problems. Are all machines Gentoo, and up to date with a 17 profile? _________________ Intel Core i7 2700K/Radeon R7 250/24GB DDR3/256GB SSD

Both are on 5.4.48-gentoo, up to date, and on the amd64/17.1/no-multilib profile.
Of note: the helper is in a VM. |
