|
|
Hi all, I'm trying to install and run RoonBridge manually. I'm getting this error when I run the script as root user:
Code: | # ./start.sh
00:00:00.001 Warn: get lock file path: /tmp/.rnbgem0-
00:00:00.055 Trace: [childprocess] using unix child process
Initializing
00:00:00.092 Info: Starting /opt/RoonBridge/Bridge/RoonBridgeHelper
00:00:00.098 Info: ConnectOrStartAndWaitForExit RAATServer, path: /opt/RoonBridge/Bridge/RAATServer
Not Running (.o)
00:00:00.003 Warn: get lock file path: /tmp/.rnbhgem0-
Running
XDG_RUNTIME_DIR (/var/run/user/1000) is not owned by us (uid 0), but by uid 1000! (This could e.g. happen if you try to connect to a non-root PulseAudio as a root user, over the native protocol. Don't do that.) |
I don't really understand it nor do I know how to fix it. I've already asked on the RoonLabs website but they were no help. Any help would be appreciated! Thanks.

I don't know this program, but as message say I think you should run pulseaudio as service _________________ Questions are guaranteed in life; Answers aren't. |

Hmm, I'm running into major emerge issues trying to do this since I'm running into dependency conflicts. This has been a common theme in Gentoo over the past few years. I fix them and inevitable they break again. Anyway, is there another way to get this working without spending hours and hours to get the dependency conflicts sorted first? :-S

I'm well aware of that thread. ;-)
Are you able to translate his suggestions to a Gentoo specific one? I couldn't quite figure it out... |
