Hi,

i have a standard, USA, 128-key keyboard.

When the raspberry pi4 boots, the console gives a "~" when I press the shift-\ key. It should give a "|".

This is before the GUI boots up. The terminal emulator on the GUI has the correct keyboard mapping.

If I do ctrl-alt-F1 to get to the boot console, the keyboard mapping is wrong.

How do I correct the keyboard mapping?

Thanks,

donjames

I think the textmode part from this wikipage could help:

Hi,

I fixed the keyboard mapping.

In /etc/conf.d/keymaps

I set keymap="us"

Then:

Code:

/etc/init.d/keymaps restart

Thanks,

donjames
