I emerged xfree and media-video/ati-gatos, but whenever I try to start X with the config file made from

But all it does is turn to an off-black and hang. So I reboot with CTRL-ALT-DELETE and check out the log file. The ending of which is here:

Looks to me like it's screwing up ont he theatre_drv.o load, so I went to the ATI-Gatos site grabbed the latest source and compiled that to get a theatre_drv.o file. Move that over to /usr/X11R6/lib/modules/multimedia and try again. No go.
I've tried quite a bit, but no go. Anyone know how to fix this?
