When I move a window across the Chromium window, it leaves a "blur." As soon as you mouse over the Chromium window, the blur disappears. I'm using chromium-88.0.4324.50 and I believe this problem started one or two versions prior to this one.

Any debugging hints will be greatly appreciated.

[SOLVED] Thanks to Ant P. for pointing out that it was a compositor problem. I'm using KDE/Plasma and System Settings > Display and Monitor > Compositor showed that the rendering backend, OpenGL 3.1, had crashed. Simply re-enabling it fixed the problem. [/SOLVED]
[UPDATE] Recently changing to full screen in Chromium produced a black screen. This Stack Overflow post suggests that Nvidia graphics cards are better served by XRender than OpenGL. Switching to XRender has solved, for the moment, this black screen problem. [/UPDATE]

Chromium expects you to be using a compositor and does not bother to implement xdamage correctly.
