Hi all,
I'm using ntop to monitor my network, and I write data into mysql.
But when I restart ntop (rare, I know ) I lose my data.
I run ntop with -S2 option, but how can I read all data into mysql database? Is there any graphical application that do that?
Thanks a lot,
Daniele |

Hi there.
When you restart ntop, your data is not really "lost"
ntop resets the statistics for each host until it encounters that host again.
When it does encounter that host, it reloads all the old stats and you can see that for yourself by clicking on that host and you'll see all the old stats are still there.
There is no way to restart nload exactly the way it was before it stopped, to my knowledge (unfortunately)
One last thing... I use ntop's internal database format because I get a segfault when I use mysql with it... I did create an empty database for it, is there anything else I need to do ? |
