|
|
Hi Folks,
The reason Asunder fails id tagging is because freedb.org (freedb.freedb.org) is no longer online. Is there a drop-in replacement for freedb.org? Musicbrainz (media-sound/picard)?
Thanks,
shrike
Edit_1:
Consulting the Change log would've been good.
Code: | 28 May 2020 - 2.9.6
===================
- Changed the default CDDB server to gnudb.gnudb.org |
BTW, media-sound/whipper uses MusicBrainz for cddb.

I use picard for mp3 tagging and work well, but never tried with discid use flag enabled. _________________ Questions are guaranteed in life; Answers aren't. |

Picard provides an impressive array of details about this CD; Recording engineers, composer(s), arrangers(s), copyrights, re-release dates, etc. My hope though was for a drop-in replacement for cddb in asunder.
Without it the rip comes out as 'unknown' for artist-album-title requiring manual override. I am curious what picard does with the rip in an 'unknown' state with wrt the discid and fingerprints flags.
Thanks,
