So far I've installed BillardGL, noeGNUd-nethack, and adom. I can get adom to work but only as root. I can't get the other two to work at all. I assume this has something to do with /etc/group but when I tinkered with it and tried to add users to games it didn't fix the problem.
Any ideas? |

you may need to log in again as that user after editing /etc/group
also run
| Code: | | source /etc/profile |
to be safe.
if that doesnt help, can you be any more specific on what your problem is?

| Nope that didn't solve it. I don't know what to elaborate on. I have the users group in the games group but users still can't access games. I can't even get into the /usr/games folder. |

| Frood, you're post slipped in before I submitted my reply. Why do I have to add my username to games? I figured if I want all users to access games I could just add users to games. I'd rather not add every user to games one by one. |

| Well adding my username to games fixed my problem for adom and simutrans. However I still can't get BillardGL, foobillard, and noeGNUd to run. BillardGL and foobillard both give me a GLUT: fatal error: could not open display when I run them from the console and when I try to run them in X nothing happens at all. |

Did you install your graphics drivers? Either from ATI or nVidia, and made sure glx was uncommented in XF86Config?
