Noted from Linux Weekly News, upstream has released seven stable kernel's today with Greg Kroah-Hartman commenting, "All users of the ~.~ kernel series must upgrade." (He always writes that!) I guess that means it's important and we'll see a flurry of Gentoo updates soon.

The 5.11.1, 5.10.18, 5.4.100, 4.19.177, 4.14.222, 4.9.258, and 4.4.258 stable kernels have all been released; each contains another set of important fixes. |

Damn, I just built 4.4.257 on my Pentium-M laptop...

upstream stable does not equal gentoo stable |

Changelogs tend to be really obscure and seemingly deliberately vague to explain the bug that was fixed...curious if there were remote exploitables regardless of configuration versus driver bugs that depend on configuration and hardware? _________________ Intel Core i7 2700K/Radeon R7 250/24GB DDR3/256GB SSD
