emerge rsync does not work anymore

When I give emerge rsync as a command it says:

>>> starting rsync with rsync://rsync.gentoo.org/gentoo-portage...
rsync: read error: Connection reset by peer
rsync error: error in rsync protocol data stream (code 12) at io.c(162)

It says this all the time. The computer was just powered down uncleanly, but I have run e2fsck on my filesystems. Now what can be the problem? And better, what can be a solution?

Have you tried to specify rsync mirror?
