Just have gentoo 1.4 installed without any problem, until i got fam segfault. i was running e17 about 15-20 min, and X suddenly crashed and back to console with segfault messages on fam. any idea about compatibility with fam and gcc3? |

fam has been a problem (for some) fo quite a while. even on gcc 2.95 it doesn't work for me.
search the forum with "fam" and you will find some threads. |

yes .. i got problems with fam on both gcc 2.95 and gcc 3.1(.1) machines ... Thinking of installing fam the redhat way, via xinetd ... see if this helps |

GCC3 to Networking and Security, as mention of inetd indicates network daemon. _________________ For every higher wall, there is a taller ladder |
