Let me clarify a few things here, as my final point to an already overlenghty post thread, imho

1) fix originated from opensuse, back in april,
Many official gentoo tree fixes have references such as Thks to <distroname>...
Likely portage fix integration seems a point of uptream individual priority policy, mostly.

2) Should +2200 acredited thread displays be solely accountable to time killing? I wish not.
All other paths to patch appliance will take longer, with uncertain achievement.
Whatever agreement level forum publishing reaches under uncertainty, obstruction should only broaden it.

3) As I haven't provided a how to method nor link 1, link 2 yet, here it is:
As root:
$EDITOR <copy/paste provided full path file localion>
copy/paste/save file content.

Possibly within 20 seconds from decision making to build launch.
It's well advertised here & there Gentoo being one of its kind because of portage,
as well as being a meta.

That why I never leaved Gentoo, and liking it more every day.
Hoping Gentoo will enough remain all about choices for long.
