I have been configuring my plasma install but it does not respect the settings I did in the "system settings".
- I still get that bouncing animation when starting applications
- it changed the cursor from classic to oxygen at random
- it does not change the keybord as I set it
- it does not stop showing the tooltips I disabled
- it still snaps windos even if not asked for
....
What is going on? Why let you set all this things and then just go along and not taking those settings into account? _________________ Expert in non-working solutions |

You didn't start systemsettings as root, right? Because these are things that *just* *work* usually, but they're user profile specific. |

No, I did them as my regular user and they are not respected when I log in as my regular user. And it is the same when logging in as root. So whatever user is logged in, plasma does not respect the settings done in "system settings". At least not consistently. Sometimes it does, but mostly it doesn't. _________________ Expert in non-working solutions |
