Over the past few days my system has been locking up randomly and something is causing the graphics drivers to crash. Specifically at odd times while watching youtube videos or while doing other things. The only thing that has changed with my system is that I have updated. |

It's impossible to advise thoughtfully without knowing anything about your system and error messages from logs. Generally, look for failing hardware, and/or excess heat. _________________ Andy Figueroa

Please tell us what you updated, showing package names, old versions, and new versions. Determine the nature of the lockup: is it purely a display problem, or is the machine locked up so thoroughly that it offers no network service, performs no disk access, emits no audio, etc.? How do you know it is a graphics driver problem? Show us any relevant system logs. Can the crash be reproduced by watching the same video again on a subsequent reboot? |
