Strongswan 5.9.2 client fails to authenticate

I updated to strongswan 5.9.2 on my laptop client and now the setup I used for an IKEv2 EAP-RADIUS connection now fails at the second stage of authentication and I don't know why. When I downgrade to strongswan 5.9.2 it works again. Something has happened in the update to 5.9.2 causes my connection to fail. I would be grateful for any help on how to resolve it.
