I'm have Gentoo installed in my hard drive, but I can seem to get the boot loader to work. Here is my configuration:
Mac G5
Serial ATA drive
/dev/sda1 -> partition table
/dev/sda2-5 -> apple drivers
/dev/sda6 -> boot block
/dev/sda7 -> swap
/dev/sda8 -> root partition
2.6.0-test8 kernel.
When I run ofpath /dev/sda6, it tells me that the device isn't configured.
Any help??? |

I think that you should update first the kernel to 2.6 test 11 , then update yaboot too. A lot of problems are for too young kernel version. In kernel 2.6 test 7 my keyboard, alsa and X didn't work, but with 2.6 test 9 they work. It was only a kernel problem for me, so try the new version. _________________ Musica che ascolto: http://www.last.fm/user/silian87/

The OF Path is going to be something like (probably exactly):
/ht@0,f2000000/pci@7/k2-sata-root@c/k2-sata@0/disk@0:
Including the colon at the end of the line. Weird, yes. But functional. |
