In the ebuild description for this package it says:

But I can't figure out where to configure my msn account. Also the homepage of centericq doesn't mention the msn protocol at all. From the homepage

But in several threads here in the forum, peoble say they use centericq as their msn client.
Can someone tell me how to use centericq as msn client? |

HEllo,
I have tried to emerge the patch:
| Code: | cp centericq-4.9.9.ebuild /usr/portage/download/centericq/
emerge centericq-4.9.9.ebuild |
At one moment, emerge says:

I have typed this:

and tried that:

But no success. Could anybody tell me how to install the MSN patch?

Get the new ebuild from the link posted above, save it as centericq-4.9.10.ebuild in /usr/portage/net-im/centericq/
delete the line: "epatch ${FILESDIR}/nls.patch" from the ebuild u created
type "ebuild /usr/portage/net-im/centericq/centericq-4.9.10.ebuild digest"
then you´re ready to:
emerge centericq |

or just download their latest cvs version and build it manually...
it comes patched and supports msn from the getgo again |

If emerge centericq doesn't work, you can do | Code: | | ebuild /usr/portage/net-im/centericq/centericq-4.9.10.ebuild merge |

If you get errors complaining about AM_PATH_LIBGNUTLS_EXTRA, you need to do

Hmm..., It does compile, but it's very unstable. It eats 100% CPU power and crashes randomly.
