Hello, first post here, and kind of a linux newbie.
I am doing 2 simultaneous stage 1 installs on a P4 and an Athlon. So far I've configured everything exaclty the same on both systems except for the CFLAGS option and the P4 system is compiling away just fine right now. The Athlon stops during the first part of the bootstrap process with the following:
Code: |
gcc: build/temp.linux-i686-2.2/missing.o: No such file or directory
gcc: no input files
error: command 'gcc' failed with exit status 1
Error sys-apps/portage-2.0.49-r15 failed
Function src_install, line 82, Exit code 1
(no error message)
|
I'm not sure the above posted is what is needed to fix the problem. I've searched the boards but haven't found any answers. I thought maybe this PC downloaded a corrupt file so I have deleted the ebuild and resynced a few times, but I get the same error every time.
Help! |

Well I must have made a simple typo somewhere. I started over using all the same options and everything seems to be working. |
