cdrom mounting problem

i placed a cdrom shortcut on the desktop, and it wont let me mount it under my user account, it says that only root can mount /mnt/cdrom, i have to openm a konsole and do a su - log in a root under my normal user, and then say mount /mnt/cdrom can anyone tell me how to do it so i can just access my cdrom under my normal user account?

Do you have user or users under <opts> in your fstab? If not, add either.
