Hello
So i'm mad really mad and angry, i can see gentoo is late on updates and particularly thunderbird.
on gentoo overlay it's 78.13.0 on another overlay it's 91.X the latest version.
i have checked archlinux repository and it's 91.X.
Is gentoo stuck in 2018 or the devs are lazy to update it to the latest version ?
And i have tried to update via the ebuild in question but unfortunately all mirrors can't download the latest version.
This is not good really not good, it looks like i have to check all packages to make sure they have the latest version. And it's not my job damn it |

78.x is the ESR before 91.x became ESR, so being on 78.x is not automatically a problem.mail-client/thunderbird: bump to v78.14.0 is dated 2021-10-21 20:08:12 +0200. Two weeks is not great, but it's not terrible either, for something as core as Thunderbird. Personally, I would be very unhappy if my only mail client broke in an update, so I appreciate a bit of delay while the release is validated.
There is also this note on the 91.x page:I don't see a specific note on later ones that the support works now, but that note does quietly disappear from later release notes. |

Exactly! My emails are very important. I don't want them to be eaten by a buggy version of Thunderbird that was released prematurely. |

There are more constructive ways to seek information and/or offer criticism. _________________ Andy Figueroa
