I have HP LaserJet Professional P1102w printer that I want to work with my gentoo installation. I'm trying to install hplip (I merged 3.20.11 version). It says that I need to install a plugin for my printer. But it always fails with only message "Plugin installation failed". I tried to install plugin manually with -g but still got nothing except "Plugin installation failed". But with that option it shows me a bunch of libraries and says that some of them aren't installed: http://paste.org.ru/?lt5tjn
I don't want to install all of missing libraries manually, so maybe there's some of them that are most likely to cause problems so I may install them first. Or maybe there's some other solution for this?
Here's also a full output from hp-plugin command: http://paste.org.ru/?1j7g8l

OK, after some random actions I decided to install XSane that I thought was required for scanners but it seems that hp-plugin does not work without xsane too. So after I installed xsane the problem disappeared |
