|
|
I am currently using the 2.6.0_beta11r2 kernel. I use GDM as my login screen. my mouse will freeze up between 5 to 10 secs. After that time i can move my mouse again. and login to any session, and no more freezing.
my keyboard works perfectly during the freezing of the mouse.
I use a USB Microsoft Intellimouse Optical. I set it up as a PS/2 mouse and everything works. It has a USB to PS/2 connector.
Iam also using Xfree 4.3, i believe the newest Xfree.
Ive removed the connector and it still works, but the freezing still happens.
I believe its something to with Xfree, everytime i restart X it will freeze between 5 to 10 seconds. it is reproducible.
Ive read about problems people have with their USB mouse, but I dont believe it is the problem.
mouse is setup at /dev/mouse in my X config.
I have never had this problem with the 2.4 kernel.
i tried out numerous 2.5 kernel's and have had the same problem, just never got around to mentioning. |
