I’m running KDE, and have no sound- Red X over the speaker tray icon. Lspci shows I am using snd-intel-hda but no cards are listed under asound/cards. This might have one of the jacks that can detect a connection- but I wouldn’t think that would disable the whole sound card. This is a really tiny PC and everything is onboard and otherwise integrated- no expansion slots or anything. I am using systemd. Any insight is appreciated! _________________ ---

dspahn,
What do you have in /proc/asound/devices.
The kernel driver is in two pieces. The PCI bus part, which is snd-intel-hda and the codec part which does the output end.
There may be several codecs.
What does Code: | grep -i codec -R /proc/asound | tell? _________________ Regards,

It lists nothing at all. Am I missing something in the kernel? _________________ ---
