So, I'm working on upgrading a system that's on EVMS1 (root and all) to EVMS2.
Reading tells me that the userspace utilities to detect the drives are needed in the initrd...does anyone know if the evms ebuild will do this for me?
If not, should I just follow the EVMS documentation on 'how to put these things into your initrd'?
Thanks!

Just download prepared initrd from evms' site.

How well does this integrate into genkernel? It builds an initrd as well; can they be hooked together in some fashion?
Perhaps that should be integrated into genkernel....
Thoughts?

I've opened request on bugzilla for such a feature in a genkernel and there is some script posted although I didn't have enough time to test it.
See bug #30647.
