|
|
Hi,
with no apparent cause all version of libreoffice (7.1* and 7.2*) also in -bin version hangs at oosplash and required kill -9
This is gdb output -> https://dpaste.com/6RNTLEWLD
and my emerge --info -> http://dpaste.com/HDN9M4RA2
I just tray:
1) remove .config/libreoffice
2) start soffice.bin --writer directly
3) set -vulkan and +vulkan
4) start soffice from other user that do not have start it in the past
5) start with 5.10 & 5.15 kernels
6) compile with gcc and with clang
Thanks for the help
EDIT 12/01/21
Finally I find the problem {openjdk:8} in my system that causes SIGSEGV in libreoffice (I've upgrade gdb output)
After remove it and reinstall openjdk:11 with +gentoo-vm and recompile libreoffice-7.1 -> SIGSEGV again in openjdk:11
Upgrade to libreoffice-7.2 -> SIGSEGV again
EDIT 14/01/22
news: now libreoffice-appimage-fresh SIGSEGV and also .rpm version downloaded. These SIGSEGV also give kernel error and necessary reboot.
only openoffice-bin::guru. work in my system
EDIT 19/01/22
now I'm sure that openjdk is NOT the problem, I've upgrade to boost-1.78 etc and build libreoffice-bin-7.2.5.2 with -gnome -kde -java and SIGSEGV again
also libreoffice-appimage-fresh SIGSEGV.
EDIT 22/01/22
finally I found that I remove /usr/lib64/libreoffice and recompile libreoffice-7.2.5.2 everything works. _________________ stelinux on Ryzen 9 3900x on ROG Crosshair Hero VIII wifi 32GB G.Skill F4-3200C14D-16GFX CL16-16-16-39, 1.35 V

With what options was that strace run? I see the process calling clone, but I do not see a trace of the resulting child. The problem may be in a secondary process. Seeing a trace of the full process hierarchy would help to check that. |

Did libreoffice or libreoffice-bin every work previously? If yes, what version? Also, if yes, can you downgrade to that version?
Also, are you able to run the appimage from the libreoffice web site? https://www.libreoffice.org/download/appimage/ _________________ Andy Figueroa

Previous Christmas I use 7.2.4.2 but when oosplash hangs appended I try with libreoffice 7.1.7.2 7.2.4.2 and 7.2.5.2.
My flags is:
Code: |
Installed versions: 7.2.5.2^t(23:24:14 07/01/2022)(base bluetooth branding clang cups dbus firebird googledrive gstreamer gtk java kde mariadb pdfimport vulkan -accessibility -coinmp -custom-cflags -debug -eds -ldap -odk -postgres -test LIBREOFFICE_EXTENSIONS="nlpsolver scripting-javascript wiki-publisher -scripting-beanshell" PYTHON_SINGLE_TARGET="python3_9 -python3_8 -python3_10")
|
and I try with and without vulkan.
I also try with the -bin version with no results
I download the appimage, set the execution flag but obtain the error Unknown error code: 100 execvp: Permission denied
EDIT
Thanks to all,
I beg you pardon for my mistake, Libreoffice*Appimage starts regular (I try the fresh version) instead my Libreoffice don't.
I bad describe previously, libreoffice don't hangs properly but restart indefinitely.
Now I try with Hu helps _________________ stelinux on Ryzen 9 3900x on ROG Crosshair Hero VIII wifi 32GB G.Skill F4-3200C14D-16GFX CL16-16-16-39, 1.35 V

The appimage experience isn't a good sign, but I can vouch for libreoffice working well with the following settings:
Code: | Installed versions: 7.1.7.2^t(11:57:52 PM 11/29/2021)(branding cups dbus gtk mariadb pdfimport -accessibility -base -bluetooth -clang -coinmp -custom-cflags -debug -eds -firebird -googledrive -gstreamer -java -kde -ldap -odk -postgres -test -vulkan ELIBC="-FreeBSD" LIBREOFFICE_EXTENSIONS="-nlpsolver -scripting-beanshell -scripting-javascript -wiki-publisher" PYTHON_SINGLE_TARGET="python3_9 -python3_8 -python3_10") |
You've got a lot of USE flag fluff built into yours and I expect that's not helping. 7.1.7.2 is the current stable version in the tree. The only thing I have set in /etc/portage/package.use is pdfimport. I recommend not building that either until you have a slimmed down package that works without issues. _________________ Andy Figueroa

I would try LC_ALL=C strace -o /tmp/soffice-debug.txt -f -tt -v -s4096 -y /usr/lib64/libreoffice/program/soffice --writer. This will follow-forks, show timestamps, show structures in detail, show more of strings, and show the files behind descriptors. |
