Today, I tried to finish installing gentoo following the handbook step-by-step i wanted to install the kernel when emerge --ask sys-kernel/gentoo sources gives me error ValueError (''No Closing Quotation'') and now im stuck with here how do i fix this issue? |

What is the exact command you executed? Neither 'emerge --ask sys-kernel/gentoo sources' nor 'emerge --ask sys-kernel/gentoo' is a valid command. _________________ My Gentoo installation notes.
Please learn how to denote units correctly! |

I would say that valid command is Code: | emerge --ask sys-kernel/gentoo-sources |

I executed the command: emerge --ask sys-kernel/gentoo-sources
and it didn't work. It might be broken or the handbook is obsolete. |

No. Try this:
Code: | emerge -pv gentoo-sources |
Does it work ?
If yes, do this:
Code: | emerge gentoo-sources |
