|
|
Hi,
I am trying to install gentoo as a guest under UTM (on an intel Mac).
I basically followed the handbook and installed grub as a bootloader, with efi64.
When I complete the install and restart the machine, the main disk does not boot anything. By default the VM loads what seems to be some sort of bootloader shell. When I reach for the boot options in the first second after the VM starts, I can select the main drive, but it does not boot anything. I am quite confused about what i could have missed or where to look for a solution.
Regards, |

I resolved the issue after finding the hard way that the EFI partition should better be of FAT type rather than ext4.
I reset just the /boot partition from the chroot, reinstalled the kernel and grub and could boot in my VM... |
