Salve, ho un problema con l'installazione di un sistema a 32bit.
Dopo aver dato il comando

Non capisco dove sbaglio.

Se continuo con il comando successivo

No. Non ho montato quei file system prima di fare chroot.
Evidentemente la procedura di istallazione è cambiata e io ero rimasto un po indietro.
Domani provo e ti farò sapere il risultato.

vedo ora che nell'handbook in italiano in effetti non è scritto, ti conviene seguire quello in inglese (suppongo sei su amd?!)

Grazie mille per l'aiuto.
Ho provato i comandi e il problema non si è verificato.
Spero che questa soluzione risolva anche un altro problema che si verificava quando dopo il boot del sistema
come risposta ad un comando (ad esempio emerge -websync) veniva emesso il messaggio

segmentation fault

Adesso sta aggiornando il software installato.
Sono su una macchina ospite a 64bit con AMD Athlon 64X2 e sto istallando Gentoo per un thin client con VIA C7 a 32 bit.

E' la prima cosa che ho pensato. Ho fatto il test della ram con memtest e ho trovato la ram guasta. Ho sostituito la ram
con una altra di cui ho ho verificato la bontà con memtest. Purtroppo il problema si manifesta immutato.
Il guasto potrebbe essere altrove ma l'hardware funzionava correttamente con una istallazione che avevo fatto l'anno
scorso.
In sostanza ho rifatto l'installazione perchè non volevo perdere la conoscenza che avevo acquisito nella installazione di Gentoo e poi pensavo, una volta rinverdita, di estenderla provando a completarla con un sistema grafico.
