Has anyone hit upon a font rendering issue in Skyrim SE? All my books & scrolls are blank, no text whatsoever. I suspect it's some font issue, but despite all my tweaking I cannot find the cure.

I just tested this on Steam and the books render fine, some pages don't line up but all the text and images are present.
Are you using Steam or a desktop wine version? Which version of wine do you use if that is what you use and are you using any mods? |

Hmm, thanks for confirming it does work and that I need to tweak some more. Using steam, no mods just straight vanilla.
What are your results of 'eselect fontconfig list'? Wondering if I'm missing a font.

OH! Got text back. Had to get rid of PROTON_USE_WINE3D=1 from the launch options. Thought I had tried that already.
Nevermind then, false alert, not a Gentoo problem!  |

Figured it had to be a setting or specific compile settings, Steam typically uses it's own libraries and fonts unless you built it to use the system libs which I always run into problems with. You even have more fonts installed than I do
