I'd have wished to know whether install stage could have been recovered after 3.0.1 removal rather? Thus avoiding 3.1.0 rebuild...
But was to lazy to search how...

IIRC, I think you're reporting a # situation where both blender slots can't be installed with USE flags that would generate /usr/bin/cycles for each.
Talking about single slot upgrade here.
Don't recall 3.0.0-r1 -> 3.0.1-r4 having such a issue.

As I read the ebuilds, 3.0.x and 3.1.x are different SLOTs, so the problem applies once again. 3.0.0 -> 3.0.1 would probably have been the same SLOT, and the problem would not apply. |
