Strange fsck error on start=Modrobe Fatal: Module sd_mod not

My post basically tells the story, during the checking of internal tree, I get hit with Modprobe Fatal: Module sd_mod not found. I'ts a new install using the gentoo 2.6 dev kernel. I've got scsi disk support compiled directly into the kernel. It doesn't matter if I load it as a module or not, same error. I don't have any dmesg errors regarding this. Is it a major problem? :?:

OK-not a very successful post thus far. Let me break it down. What is the internal tree and how are its' problems diagnosed?
