Hi. I'm a Gentoo noob and just installed Gentoo about a week ago. I'm astounded! I love it! In fact, it's my new favorite distro. But one thing that I miss from Slackware, and from the Gentoo live cd is how the command line looked. After installing and rebooting I was disappointed to find that my letters were huge and there was no cool purple background with larry the cow. If anyone knows how I could get it to look like that I'd appreciate it. _________________ Josh =) |

I think you might be thinking of framebuffer and bootsplash...
If you do a quick search you will see some postings regarding this issue.
good luck! |
