Rhythmbox is using 40MB, and all it is is a GTK2 interface for music playing...
Gnome-Terminal has 20MB?!
Gnome-Panel also has 20MB, which seems excessive considering it just sits on the screen.
Epiphany, simply a Gecko wrapper, takes 50MB. This is strange, considering Firebird is 20MB or less.
Am I compiling these wrong or something? _________________ Hard drives are flaky... it's easy to backup to CD-R... do it! |

And X bitmaps and a hundred and one million other things. Sooooo many people ask about this that the next version of the system monitor has a new column for X apps saying how much space a program really takes up.
Search for "XFree86 memory usage" nets a bunch of threads on this. |
