I have emerged KDE. It took me 7 hours although I have a 2400 MHz processor. But I have forgotten to add CUPS to my USE-Variable. When I type:
USE = "CUPS" and start emerge KDE again, does it compile everything again?
And do I have to add all other parameters to USE again. Like USE="kde qt alsa..." and so on?

-p will tell you what packages that will be emerged, but I don't think that more than 5 packages will be re-emerged though....

It probably took you longer the first time since it had to emerge a lot of dependencies, so no.
